All UV-VIS-IR Cameras


HAMAMATSU offers high resolution and high sensitivity cameras designed for a broad range of applications in the biomedical, industrial and semiconductor fields.  Our products cover a wide spectral range from UV to near infrared and even can detect X rays.   Most of our cameras use CCD sensors with either front or back illumination. 

  • Back-thinned (BT) CCDs provide a very high quantum efficiency detection curve.
  • Our front-illuminated CCD cameras can be cooled to get a very low dark current and allow long integration time for low light level detection
  • Electron multiply technology (EM-CCD) provide internal gain amplification
  • Electron bombardment technology (EB-CCD) are also available for very low light phenomenas.
  • The renowned ORCA cameras offer up to 10 Mega pixel arrays for high resolution imaging.  These cameras are also cooled to allow integration time from 330 µs to 10 seconds.
  • Some of our digital CCD cameras can even be coupled to fiber optic screens (FOS) for high accuracy X ray imaging

All these CCD cameras take advantage of:

  • Our patented vacuum sealing technology for permanent trouble free cooling.
  • A variety of interface options for these CCD digital cameras consist of IEEE 1394 (Firewire), RS422, LVDS and camera link frame grabber outputs.

In addition to these CCD cameras, Hamamatsu takes advantage of it's vacuum tube technology know how to provide IR vidicon video cameras covering up to 2.2 µm wavelength.  These products include analog gain and offset controls for contrast enhancement.
