The C8800-series is a 1000x1000 pixels high resolution digital camera using a high-speed frame transfer CCD chip with no mechanical shutter. The extraordinary spectral response characteristic allows application from the UV-range up to the NIR-range. The 12 bit digital output with a frame rate of 30Hz and a high signal to noise ratio is suitable even for low light level imaging. The C8800 also supports sub-array and binning modes which enables higher frame rates of more than 100 frames per second or higher. For long integration a cooling function with a permanently sealed vacuum chamber is available (Model C8800-21C).
