In addition to X ray, UV and visible wavelengths, the infrared region is of great importance for many scientific and industrial applications. Hamamatsu offers two options for infrared imaging:
- special vidicon tube technology which permit imaging to a maximum 2.2 µm
- back thinned chips, using our solid state CCD technology, which permit imaging to a maximum of 1.1 µm
This ability, when combined with cooling levels and low noise characteristics allows users to detect the lowest UV light levels. Additional capabilities include:
- High frame rate
- IEEE 1394, RS422, LVDS and camera link frame grabber outputs
- analog video output with contrast enhancement for vidicon tube cameras.
