Brief description This system measures the absolute fluorescence quantum yield using a photoluminescence method.
Full description
It consists of a 150 W Xenon lamp, a band pass filter (-01) or monochromator (-02) for wavelength discrimination, an integrating sphere as sample chamber and a multi channel analyzer for signal detection. The great advantage is the use of an absolute photoluminescence method for measuring quantum yields. Thus no reference samples are required and the fluorescence quantum yield of even solid samples is easily accessible. Because of the highly sensitive detector the measurement times are very short.
