Another huge advantage is that all students can view exactly the same piece of tissue at the same time. Therefore the teacher can easily select the best cases for lesson he wants to teach.
Also, unlike using small digital images taken with digital cameras, the students still have the possibility to navigate on the entire tissue slide, using any magnification they choose.
They can fully focus their attention to the relevant task on hand, i.e. studying the tissue, instead of getting distracted by handling bunches of glass slides or fiddling with the intricacies of worn-out old course microscopes.
